The Photographers
The Turner Gallery of Photography presents the electronic portfolio of Chris and Jim Turner. Although Chris is relatively new to photography at the professional level, her ability to see and capture light, color, and composition attest to her proficiency as both an artist and a photographer.
Jim has been taking photographs since he was about 5 years old. Throughout the years, he has owned or used more than a hundred models and types of cameras. His progress through the world of photographic technology included box cameras, polaroids, range finders, film SLRs, medium and large-format, aerial, scientific, video, research, and the latest in digital single lens reflex cameras. Many hours were also spent working in the dark room developing, enlarging, and printing the results of his work behind the camera (these days, he's moved into the digital darkroom). With each successive generation of cameras, he has become more and more enamored with the art and science of photography.
